I've heard this and more odd/unstable behavior about him before. I think McCain carries deep mental scars from Vietnam.
Considering that and his rapidly advancing age, and I'm not at all sure I want him in charge of America's trigger finger. I actually feel bad for the guy though (even if the behavior is as bad as this article says).

Yeah after posting this I read a few other articles, and talked to Embrey about it, and realized that the impact of being a POW changed him quite a bit.
I have no clue what that must have been like, and I don't intend to judge him on his behavior but like you say, I don't want him running this country either. It's also upsetting that he gets such a free pass from the media on stuff, all the while trying to convince everyone that the media 'hates him'.
